An image that resonates today

Footnote: So incensed was government by the impact of this single cartoon that MI5 was called in to investigate Zec, while some MP’s seriously contemplated demanding the shutdown of the Mirror for the remainder of the war. Thankfully, neither the investigation nor the demands for censorship led any further than a severe reprimand for the paper.
